ECU Tuning (also this work is known as "Chip tuning", "Motor Tuning", or "Ecu remapping") is the electronic intervention in the engine control unit designed to improve power (horsepower) engine along with the reduction of fuel consumption.

The ECU Tuning can either have a pre-existing mechanical conversion and upgrade of the car or not. In many cases the electronic improvement ecu tuning extends to use second parallel brains in which the second brain intervenes in specific engine functions with effect as in the first case the improvement (upgrade) power (horsepower) engine with parallel reduction fuel consumption.
